To all of you who have posted such lovely, funny and moving stories: Thank You.
I now know so much more about the man I have loved since we met in 1964. I feel so honored to have had him in my life for all those years. Not only was he a brilliant designer, but also the perfect friend, partner, father and lover. He did not fear death, but loved life, every minute of it.
Yesterday, Saturday the 13th of October, marked the 5th week since he died. An amazing Farewell party was held at Stanford. Champagne and tears were flowing, and the huge room was filled with people from the past and from now.
Bill loved a party, and I am sure he was there next to me, and to all of you who came, and to all of you who were elsewhere.
Thank You IDEO, Thank you Stanford for everything. I will resist the urge to list individual names, you know who you are.
To Nat Hunter…. Griffin, the knitted creature, is now my traveling companion. He is sitting right here correcting my spelling.
